Multiple Ways to Find Markets in Sydney

When we built Local Market Guide, we did so with a few thoughts in our minds. One thing we were thinking about was the long list of pain points that market shoppers have dealt with for years. One of those pain points—the fact that there isn’t an aggregated list of all the different markets within one geographic radius—was something we were inherently solving with the design of our website. However, we also wanted to overcome another major issue by offering our users a variety of ways to find markets.

The thing about market shoppers is that they are all a little different. Some are looking for markets and fairs based on geography, to see if there’s a market they can visit while they are in a certain city or town. Others discover markets by searching for the types of goods they need. Still others schedule their market trips based on timing, as in: ‘What markets are going on today?’

We wanted Local Market Guide to be useful and accessible to all these groups. To make that wish a reality, we built the site to offer multiple ways of finding markets.
